The Embedded Laboratory (eLab) is part of Electrical Engineering Institute at Federico II of Naples, and focuses on the definition of system-level multi-objective design methods, optimization methodologies and tools for high-performance embedded systems and Multi-Processor System-on-Chip (MPSoC) architectures. The main research lines within the eLab activities include, but are not restricted to, the following topics:
- System-Level Design Automation;
- Wireless sensor and ad-hoc networks;
- Embedded Networking;
- Digital Design using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs);
- Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs);
- Hardware Security;
- Embedded Platforms and Internet of Things;
- Embedded Multicore Processing;
- Embedded Real-Time Systems;
- Hypervisor on embedded systems;
- Precise GPS positioning in safety-critical systems.
